Lehigh University Very Modern Ensemble: "Haunted"

The grand premiere of Paul Salerni's one-act dance opera, based on a libretto by Dana Gioia, California's Poet Laureate. The program also includes another setting of Gioia's poetry, Salerni's Ballad of Jesus Ortiz ; the fifth strong quartet of Villa-Lobos; and Georges Aperghis's arresting work for solo doumbek and voice, Le Corps a Corps. Featured artists: choreographer/dancer Michael Spencer Phillips, the Dali Quartet, and percussionist Miles Salerni.
